About me

My name is Mike Reda, I am a young photographer who lives in England, with a passion for travelling and for the world around us. I have ambitions to become primarily a travel and culture photographer, observing places and people and adding my own interpretations to scenes I come across.
My gear of choice is Nikon, and I make use of both Film and Digital media, as digital capture has a greater dynamic range and saturation, suitable for landscapes and nature, whereas 35mm negative film has a colour rendition and useability more suited to portraiture.
I use a Nikon D100, and a Nikon F301and Lowepro gear to keep my equipment safe and secure at all times.

  • I have had success so far in the form of a couple of prizes, including a prize in the West Midlands Biodiversity Partnership 2005 photography competition, which was presented by Nick Garbutt
  • I have also had a photograph published in a catalogue
  • I have been employed by a graphic design company to produce work for an advertising pamphlet
  • I have also done work for the Beacon centre in Wolverhampton
  • I have sold many prints of my photographs, and hope to continue selling my work.
  • I am contracted as a photographic tourguide in Birmingham during the summer months for a travel company. The tours are on Saturday evenings, subject to bookings. Click Here to visit my tour page on Expedia.
  • I am currently reading Politics and International relations at Southampton University.
